Holy Crap, Tillie’s in Brooklyn is playing the most comically accurate playlist of 90’s pop music right now. So far, I’ve heard…that band…the one that sang the song about being an all-star. But, their first song. The one about the sun, with the tattooed 60’s pop via 90’s thing. Also, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” which is just one of the worst songs ever. And, Toad The Wet Sprocket. I feel like Ross and Rachel should be beside me. Right now, “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls is on. See? I’m not even fucking kidding. An actual radio station in the 90’s would have been embarrassed to run this playlist. But, I’m oddly in love. It’s funny to wonder how coming of age during an era of such curdled EARNESTNESS has affected me. Is this why I hate kittens?
